Twurch Marriages – ur vows on teh intawebs
From the “world has gone crazy” basket, US resident Dana Hanna takes out his mobile phone during a wedding service to update his Twitter followers and Facebook friends of the proceedings. Where’s the twist? Dana was the groom!
As the minister presiding over the wedding said: I now pronounce you husband and wife. It’s official on Facebook … and it’s official in my book.

Obituary: Farewell Common Sense
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn’t always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

What’s your view on ‘some-sex’ marriage?
No, it’s not a typo – I actually did intend on typing ‘some-sex marriage’, not ‘same-sex marriage’. It’s the caption to the otherwise hazy picture of this cartoon that was found in a random mag of a doctors surgery waiting room.
Given I’ve been reading a bit on the controversial topic of same-sex marriage in recent weeks, my wife thought she’d send this for a laugh while waiting to see her doctor this morning. And a laugh it got!
